Hi there,
Been playing SunStones for a few days and like it a lot. But i've been stuck on the vulture for a while, can i get a different clue to how to solve it? i am trying not to throw away stones as per the clue at the beginning, but after that i'm stuck! Thanks

The problem, as I'm sure you're aware, is that there are a bunch of extra stones on the board. How can you get rid of those stones without taking a bunch of moves?
Use an explosion to destroy them.
Exploding Sun Stones break full-sized stones into fragments, but they completely eliminate stone fragments from the board. This is also the heart of the "Noon Sun" puzzle on Awakening.

Hi Simon, thanks for your response. I have tried that without success, I use one group of stones above the wings to fill in the gaps in the puzzle, then explode away the second group above te wings, but the puzzle remains unsolved. Do I need to fill the red square? When I put a sunstone in there it naturally explodes everything...

Right, never mind, within 15 seconds of posting I found the solution! Figures... Yes, there is some very sophisticated AI routines which only allow the puzzle to be solved after you post on the internet about it. Very advanced stuff, to be sure. Let me say out loud what I suspect you figured out - you do indeed need to fill that red square with a Sun Stone - to prevent it from exploding you simply need to place it BEFORE you place all of the stones around it.
